Death happens. Some cosmic afterlife in the clouds is a fun idea and all, but it's not very likely. I believe religion is denial, not willing to accept that life ends at some point.

If anything, religious people are more afraid of death than atheists, they created a false idea of life-after-death so they wouldn't have to deal with reality.

For me, i'm kind of in-between. I haven't really made up my mind of what I believe in, I have better things to worry about than death. I wish that when I die I can fly up into the skies and enter heaven, but it's just so.....out-there...

Death doesn't scare me though, everything and everyone dies eventually, why should I be so selfish to worry about my death. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter, so just enjoy it.

when i was like 8 i whole heartedly believed when i died i would go to heaven, then one day i realized what eternal life meant and that scared the shit out of me. living forever was literally my biggest fear, and i would tell my mom i really didn't want to go to heaven and live forever just for like 400 years or something haha. I still believed in god though for a long time, for me thats never what religion was about.
