cause its pop and we as americans love pop, especially pop videos that we can make memes from on the internet. So being that there are a lot of strange moments in this video, no matter how cut and paste it may be, we will love the video and find it hilarious. Adding to the fact that it is very cut and paste, it allows radio stations to have a new song to play that sounds slightly different from the others, but not really. so yeah. basically, we suck.

It did get annoying pretty fast

Although, no Kpop single will ever get big like Gangnam Style did. SNSD can't even surpass 100 million views and they have a much bigger fanbase. YG Entertainment fans outside of Korea didn't give a shit about PSY until now.

Most K-pop is super generic, not necessarily bad(see: catchy), but it's hard to tell most of it apart from other stuff, especially when you don't know what they're saying.
