Fucked up my Atrix something fierce when trying to fix the digitiser, shit's a write off. eBayed an unlocked RAZR XT910, which should hold me over until my upgrade in November. Didn't crack 275 either.

How is that working out for you?

I'm still waiting, shipping label was made up last night. Thankfully, the seller is only ~1.5hr drive from here, so I should get it in a day or two if they ship it today. I know the XT910 has up to 4.0.4 officially and that you can dual-boot on it, so I'll be getting CM10 as soon as I can, but I'll keep stock too, just in case they drop an official 4.2 at any point. Phantom phone syndrome is kicking my ass doe.

Anyone having issues with their S3 not detecting the micro SD card? Since I got my phone reformatted for some weird bug on the software, I've been having trouble getting it to properly run the external storage. SMH

I've read somewhere that it has something to do with the class 10 microSD from SanDisk. anyone having the same issue?

On my CM10.1(4.2) partition. Each of the dock icons is gesture-enabled, swipe up opens an app/shortcut, brilliant feature from Nova. Homescreen icons can be made to do the same, but I like to keep the HS clear so that I can use other gestures without accidentally opening something.

Had the RAZR for over a week now, it's a solid phone despite being from 2011, it also looks great in comparison to most of the slabs on the market(dat Kevlar ). Battery life is around 20+hrs w/ GPS always on(for Smart Actions triggers) on my Rogers-Blurred 4.0.4 partition. Aesthetically, I prefer the CM10.1 partition, but so far, I'm a bigger fan of the stock systems functionality. The stock Moto camera app is amazing, it's landscape only and the volume-rocker can be set as the shutter. I would really like the devs to work in SmartActions and the stock camera app into CyanogenMod or AOKP/AOSP builds.

Before I got the phone, I was just hoping it'd hold me over until the next gens drop around my upgrade in November, but now, I'm thinking this is easily getting me until CES 2014 when we get some truly next gen stuff, like: 1080p graphene covered OLED panels, 14nm Intel SoC, etc.

^ that's good bro that you are happy with it. Sounds like a solid device. I am still loving my nexus. Just messing around with kernels to increase the battery life. This thing is a beast though.

I really like the N4 aesthetically and software-wise, but without a 32GB version, I just couldn't do it. I also haven't even had a hands-on with one. What's the build-quality like? Solid? I haven't used an LG device before. I find the Samsung devices to feel really cheap, with the exception being the SGS2. The RAZR feels tough-as-nails, a far cry from my plasticky Atrix, so my next phone will have to feel as solid.

completely agree. Was chilling with my friends today and one of them just got the Nexus 4 and damn I was jealous. The build of the phone itself is what really attracted me, cause the screen feels absolutely amazing and the design is just gorgeous. Samsung's only con is that the phones feel cheap. But then again, I would choose the s4 over the n4 just because it has an external storage option. If the n4 did have an external, it wouldve been a done deal for me

Been using the Nexus 4 since original shipping and the build is gorgeous. I thought the same about lack of storage but using Google Music and streaming most of it pretty much solved that problem.

Yeah I think it is the perfect phone for me. I just think the camera could be upgraded. Takes amazing photos in good lighting. Ok in bad lighting. So it isn't that big a deal.

For those with the 8gb Nexus 4.
How are you liking it?

Would you consider 8gb enough?
I'm looking for a new phone, Tmobile, preferable under $300, used or new.

Any recommendations?

I couldn't see 8GB being enough for me. My phone is my music player, so I like to have as much as I can at once(32GB mSD). 8GB doesn't even seem like enough for apps/games, I have 16GB internal and that seems to be the perfect amount. If you have a big Google Music library or just use streaming services for music, I'd still think the 8GB model is too small, the 16GB would be my suggestion.

As for an off-contract device under $300, I'd probably say GS2 or RAZR. Both are from 2011, but they're still capable phones and run smooth with ICS/JB, not to mention they're super thin and aesthetically pleasing.. Neither are all that hard to root, although the RAZR has a locked bootloader, so you have to use SafeStrap or BMM to run custom ROMs. Both have 16GB models, both take mSD, both have decent cameras/flash. Sammy has the oversaturated AMOLED, and Moto has a few more pixels with the qHD screen. Not sure about the S2, but the RAZR has HDMI-out.

However, if you can deal with 8GB, for sure go with the Nexus 4.
