So I was watching this interview with Ben Baller, and according to him, he and Kanye West originally collaborated on making this collection of plastic jesus pieces (like the ones Kanye is wearing in the picture below) as part of the PASTELLE clothing line that Kanye had going on back in the day, they was going to be $600 a piece apparently. Of course that never became a thing and eventually GOOD WOOD NYC came and did their own series of wooden Jesus pieces.
All that had me thinking like "DAMN dawg! I really wished this clothing line had really took off". I mean I would've loved to have some of these jackets back in the day; EVEN NOW! I still want them, who wouldn't?
Just thinking out loud, but what you guys think? Should this have taken off? Personally I think PASTELLE would have been bigger than brands like BAPE if it was around today.
