They're great. If you work days though, they're a handful and very loud animals. Also, line the cage with the puppy training pads and it'll help keep the smell down, way easier to change daily than bedding/newspaper. Hopefully you get docile gliders, because a bitey glider is the worst.

on a scale of 1-10 how much does the bites hurt? and do their nails hurt too?

When they nip at you, you're safe. If they really bite you, they can draw blood, but the bites are no worse than any other small animal, it just sucks if you have to handle them and they're bitey. Their nails don't hurt, you can let them glide/jump onto you with ease. Once had one glide on to my homie's face, pretty much hung off his eyelid, it was OD funny, and he had no injuries. However, they piss almost constantly, so if you let them run on your bare skin for a lengthy period or cup them in your hands(infinite tunnel game), you will end up with little bumps/irritations all over.

are those from Asia? I used to have a dog that looked just like that but all white. I never knew what kind of dog she was just knew that she was from Asia.

They look very similar but
Akita Inu's are much larger than Shiba Inu's. Akita Inu's are often 70 - 120 lbs where as Shiba Inu are usually 15 - 25 lbs
