i know most of u guys are kids but to the older folks with some money do u guys do any swing trades? Are u subscribed to any traders news letters? Got any tips to a new guy with 10k im thinking of subscribing to this guiys news letter and just ride his wave and follow his trades is that stupid i see guys making 900 bux a week from doin that, do u know of any legit forums or blogs i should check for

Put in ~3400 into an oil company I was reading about, and overnight I had gained around ~2,500. I just know the total when I ended up selling was 5,320~5,400. That's really the only stocks shit I've dipped into. The best way to make money off this is too buy into companies that are new and just startng out but you see promising futures. Doing this you're able to double/triple/quadruple your investment.

If you're really serious I'd go to your bank and talk to an investment consultant or someone similar. They'll give you a good idea on what to expect when you invest as well as advice on what to invest in so it works best with what you're trying to get out of your investment.

Also, if you have a university/college near you with a business department, talk to them. I know a lot of the ones in my area and a lot of the ones my friends go to have investment clubs. They'll invest your money and 9/10 times it's pretty damn successful.

I haven't started, but I'm reading a book on it now. I would strongly advise you not to buy into that whole newsletter scam where you follow a guys picks. Lenny Dykstra tried to pull that shit on people and he's bankrupt now.

I actually just got into the stock market, just because I knew with the iPhone 5 being released their stock was going to shoot up, so I bought a few shares a couple weeks ago. Hopefully it will rise a little more when they offically release the phone and not just pre-orders.

Although it isn't investing in a technical sense, if you apply the same principles of investing into tracking teams and things like that, you can make a lot of money depending on how well you pick nahmean?

OP your gonna be disappointed if you think you're gonna make 900 a week day/swing trading as a beginner. 90%+ failure rate for new traders, its tough but not impossible to make consistent money. Try paper trading for a few years and then when you gain consistency you can open a live account with that 10k. If you jump in and start trading real money as a beginner you're gonna be disappointed when you blow your account.

Some people do make a large portion of money off day trading, but the people who are successful in doing so have been investing for years, and aren't just starting with 10k and blindly following some dude who has his own news letter...
