Okay so a good friend of mine graduated college last spring and has been working for a health insurance company. He makes a little over $55,000, but not too long ago he was offered a different job in a city that's a few hours away and it's in the middle of no where, but he'll be making around $80,000. Do you guys think that it would be worth the move? I mean it would be a whole new start, and he'd be away from everyone and everything he knows. What would you guys do!?

Is the cost of living their higher or lower because if you go somewhere where the cost of living is higher that increase in wage is just compensation for the cost of living so you will be living in the same condition just in a new area.

No it isn't me. I still have a year and a half to go

but I constantly think about his situation and ask myself what I would do.

The cost of living is most likely going to be lower. He's moving from Orange County to Lompoc (city that none of us have heard of).
