College roommate never invites me out

My birthday weekend was a pretty uneventful one. I didn't end up going out or anything but my girlfriend took me to dinner. I get back to my dorm and my roommate is getting ready to go out with some of his friends. Doesn't think to ask if I wanna go out with him and just ditches me on my birthday.

I have trouble meeting new people. Takes a while for me to warm up to people. I warmed up to my roommate but he don't take me seriously as a friend. Just on a "hi" and "bye" basis.

You need to meet people. Try to find people with similar interests or something. Your roommate obviously dosent fuck with you if he isn't going to invite you out on your birthday.

God damn man... It seems like your life is really that bad. It seems like your makin something small into something big. People have more problems than you do in there social life. If your roommate didn't invite you out, then just let it pass you by. It seems like you are to friendly of a person and you let people take advantage of you, so then when you need help they won't help you out. Learn to grow some backbone and tell people straight up that if you don't like something they did, then tell them. Don't beat around the bush. Not everyone knows how you feel. Btw things will get better homie, its prolly just a bad month for you and everyone has one.

Here's the thing we always chill during the week. Studying etc. But we never hang out outside of the dorms which makes our "friendship" seem kinda fake. I'm not begging his ass to hang out with me that's now how it went down. I just think it's fucked up he knows I don't have very many friends and intentionally leaves me out of social gatherings where I can meet people. He knew it was my birthday he was just being a dick.
