Try to reinvent yourself. During your summer, begin to develop a sense of style and maturity that'll put you over your peers. And JOIN CLUBS once you get there. It's a great way to meet friends (and girls) and colleges love it. Also don't be afraid to lose friends. Everyone leaves High School with a COMPLETELY different set of friends then when they entered.

You won't get beat up lol. Everyone always says that but I was perfectly fine. If you're on a sport though then varsity/older kids will give you shit for being a freshman.
Just make sure you don't act gay and annoying like 99% of the freshman i see.
