Even an atheist would surely agree that, if religion is stopping someone from doing something crazy like committing a murder, it should be encouraged.


If religion is the only thing stopping somebody from hurting their selves or others professional help should be encouraged and provided not religion.People who seek religion for their mental health problems are the ones that people that claim to be "religiously righteous" prey on to carry out things to harm themselves and others in the name of religion.
