Most of them are ugly for day-to-day wear. Too bulky. They're up there with big fat skate shoes for ridiculousness of appearance. Younger kids can get away with wearing them, but as styles progress, they just don't work.
Even if you want sports shoes, I think AMs(1s, 90s, 95s, 180s, etc), Tech Challenges, and Air Stabs are all nicer. If you want simpler, you have AF1(so heavy though), Terms, and Big Nikes.
