i know bynum is a beast when he wants to play but he's lazy, injury prone and seems like he doesn't have any interest playing in the lakers, and plus kobe got like two or three years left before retiring they could try building a new franchise off a new kid.

@melvinj23 On paper OKC are constructed to upset the Lakers. Perkins was brought in to limit the effectiveness of guys like Gasol/Bynum and now Howard. Perkins even has a track record of limiting Howards play dating back to 2009 when Perkins was still a Celtic. Ibaka is another defender used to limit the Lakers bigs. Nobody on the Lakers matches up well with Durant. Nobody matches up well with Westbrook. Nobody matches up well with Harden off the bench. Look at the stat lines from the 2012 series. The offense of OKC flows through those 3. The Lakers have done nothing to stop or even limit the play of those 3. Bench depth also favors the Thunder. Lakers better hope that the Thunder can't defend the pick and roll.

Nobody is stopping Durant, but MWP can guard him as well as anybody (with the exception of Lebron). Very few in the L can match up with Westbrook, but it's his selfishness and bad shot selection, could very well be the doom of OKC. Look at what Harden did in the finals.. nothing. Serge and Perkins can't score. You're over exagerating what the Thunder have on the lakers. OKC on paper does NOT flat out beat the lakers.

You'd rather them build a franchise around Anthony Davis instead of Dwight? Log off.

as a big Warriors fan, this does not upset me much at all. I understand that no matter how great your team's lineup is, there are always going to be off nights. Plus, I think the Warriors will match up real well with the Lakers next season. It should be fun to watch. Btw, whose on the Laker's bench? ahahahh

lol @ all these salty ass lakers haters

People do realize that coaching is a real thing right? niggas on the court aren't just gonna scramble for the ball and do what they want. You start with good players like howard, and then you build up as a team.

@comeatmebruh I'm not saying the Thunder will flat out beat the Lakers. I think the Lakers have a great team but I don't think they match up well with the Thunder on paper. Durant shot below 50% from the field only one time which was game 5. Artest cannot affect Durant's shot at all. He shot 42% in game 5. Perkins and Ibaka are interior defense specialists. Why would you want them taking shots when Durant, Westbrook, and Harden usually had great personnel match ups.

Howard in the paint, Metta world Peace on the perimeter and kobe guarding the two, You wont be able to go into the paint with ease when you have a guy like Howard in the paint(If healthy). And in terms of scoring, when your 4th option is Gasol or Nash, you have more than a 75 - 80 percent chance of winning a championship, of course if they're healthy come June

I agree, I said that nobody except for LBJ can defend KD.. he's just that good. Harden is like a magician, disappearing in critical times. I wouldn't put him in the same sentence as Westbrook and Durant when it comes to scoring. Also Westbrook's scoring, in a way, takes away from Durant. His shots don't come in the flow of their offense; they come from ISOs or shots before initiating the offense. In reality it shouldn't be him taking those shots it should be KD.

@comeatmebruh If I was in charge of the Lakers I would have acquired Anthony Randolph just to guard Durant. 6-10, with a pterodactyl wingspan and freakish athleticism. He's been on several teams but is rarely played. He's basically Durant without the amazing shooting. The Nuggets quietly signed him recently.

*EDIT* This video shows more defensive highlights.

i mean this yr they had a competitivbe series with OKC despite having two shit pgs and carrying 7 feet ray allen wanna be ass bynum's bad attitude

now they have a definitive hard worker and best center in the league + Nash to dictate the offense, therefore they dont have to rely on Kobe and Bynum going ham, they will have a good offensive system

+Jamison off the bench, and again I have to talk about Nash becuz hes gonna have a great effect on Gasol's game

on paper, Lakers >>> , IMO

Thats exactly my point. You guys are wrong if you think Westbrook will flat out destroy Nash. Nash is a much more mature player who can give a shit less for how many points he scores, or for that matter, how much Westbrook scores. Westbrook is a below average playmaker in my opinon. Yeah he can score,, but he's nothing like your Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, or Derron Williams. Dude is nice, but he takes away from OKC. I would rather like to see him play for a shitty team and see him progress. @The Situation was on point with his comment. Lakers bench can still use a another bench player, but I'm straight with their additions of Jodie Meeks and Antawn Jamison. cool

this is the best the lakers bench has looked in YEARS, the addition of jodie meeks, antawn jamison and chris duhon is great plus jordan hill, dont sleep on that nigga, he was the best player comin off the bench after the trade deadline, im glad we resigned him, this will probably be the bench rotation, devin ebanks and earl clark might get in the mix too
