that's where distractions come in

you cannot over think things, it's okay to let the mind wander but when things like what you mention happen, things could get bad. Before you know it, you're contemplating deep things, your mind starts taking those turns into complexity, and pondering things and you start feeling like you're going into things way too much

didn't really read the op's post but i know that meditation helps control the mind. He was talking about being alone and thinking while alone, he feels is detrimental to him. mediation helps me find peace.

I'm at this point right now. It's crazy how twisted your mind can make situations. How easily it can assume, and how easily you can convince yourself that it's true, when most of the time it's not. The mind can create some pretty dark alleyways. You build up a barrier to certain people because of all the time you spent alone thinking about that person.
