Advice would also be helpful smile Yeah a bong is probably the first thing I'm gonna buy* but gonna take full advantage of being able to smoke blunts without having to worry about the smell. Moving into a place by myself rather than with friends/room mates so freedom will be a big thing.

Kitchen essentials, obviously you know about pans and so on but stack up on oils and spices, sucks having to buy the shit when you actually need it. Get everything you need for cleaning too and bring your mom to buy it, you gonna be surprised at all the shit that needs cleaning..

$400 a month for a studio, less than half a weeks pay. Gonna be going back to uni though so will be having to just work part time when i go back. Been saving for about 6 months though so i wont be struggling for money when I do.

cleaning supplies for sure, because if you don't have them, you won't want to spend money on them when it gets nasty and your place is going to get nasty - thats a given
aside from windex, 409, toilet cleaner, sponges, paper towels
a broom, a dustpan, a vacuum cleaner

the rest, i dont know, you'll figure it out as you're living there
kitchen supplies is another thing, a few pots, a few skillets, silverware, but that all depends on how much you like cooking
for example, i just spent $50 on a potato peeler, a smasher and a knife, but i wouldn't tell you to go get a knife and a garlic press right away

Definitely get a mop, a broom, a vaccuum, lysol wipes, cleaning solvents for bathroom, kitchen, carpets, windows, etc.

Can't stress it enough. It might be an extra 3 or 4 hours of chores a week, but clean space is essential.
