Alright so I don't usually post here so sorry if this thread has already been made, but I noticed a thread on another site about some guy who jumped to his death from his dorm window last night:

I googled his name and clicked on his Twitter account, and apparently he was a sneakerhead, he hasn't tweeted in months, but read his description: https://twitter.com/#!/elcerrito91

As I read the thread, people basically were flaming him day and night.
N-SB had a 80+ pg of flaming him / photoshopping his pictures.

I'm not saying that's the reason of his suicide, but ya know?

Just saying that some people take things too far when it comes to flaming/embarrassing
people out there.

Damn what the fuck? That's tragic... R.I.P. That could've been anyone of us when get roasted for real doe... Never really thought shit like that could result in suicide. Hope he's in a better place.

was it depression that trigger his death? It's very common in college students (away from home, new environment, not easy to make friends, etc) Nonetheless, I feel for him. suicide is no joke. I wish his families well, and rip.

You never really know how ppl will takes things on the internet. I myself don't take it that seriously because I know i have the option of logging off but some kids really value opinions on sites and will feel really hurt if they feel like internet friends are the only ones they have. It sucks that shit like this happens but it does. I mean who knows what kind of outside things were going on. I know what its like to feel suicidal.

People will always talk shit to other especially when they think it'll gain them cool points/take any kind of heat off them it happens all the time in the sb. It just a matter of not letting it affect you i say shit like that all the time. Some ppl are just a little more fragile emotionally and mentally and its always sad to see shit like this happen. RIP.

it'd be a bit unusual if the kid was older like 25+ but then again, you don't really see 25+ year old's trolling as much (at least on here) but the younger generation is definitely influenced by the internet world. so many 13 - 19 year old's are on fb, tumblr, instagram, twitter, what have you... what john said is right, people, especially kids nowadays, rely too much on "internet cool points" that it's now part of their "norm" that it's kinda not that surprising after all that's happened (cyber bullying, sexting then killing themselves, etc)...

i remember this guy from ISS, and people were giving a hard time too. Not as bad as a 80 page flame. But i think the reason people weren't that fond with him is because he used to be on top of his Nike SB game and would argue or express his "strong opinions" about things and people found it a little annoying. I didn't know dude like his death is truly tragic. I highly doubt i has anything with cyber bullying but of course i don't know for sure
