For those who just got a puppy or had a dog for a while now, i was wondering whats the best way to stop them from crying when you are off to work and what not.

He will cry anytime he isn't with you untill he gets used to it / understands you're not abandoning him. If you make him sleep in another room for example, he'll cry. If you leave him for a while at home by himself, same thing.
He'll get used to it, just reassure him when you leave, and when you come back. You can give him a treat when you get back and he hasn't eaten up your house or shat on the floor. You can also get him a toy or two to keep him busy, or one of those chewable bones that are good for their teeth.
But he'll cry for a couple of days, I would say a week max. Make him sleep in another room then yours and he'll get used to it faster.
Turn on the T.V. let that nigga watch some animal planet.
Get another dog to keep him occupied.
