during okinawan winters it keeps me extremely warm (the coldest it gets is 55ish). in the US it was a slightly different story (in DC and NY the temps would dip into the high 20s/low 30s). then again i only really wear t-shirts under it, so if you were to wear something more sensible for the winter you'd probably be fine.
