I work way better dealing with numbers than anything else. Most people don't find it fun, I find it very interesting. To each his own.

Accounting is the best thing to major in if you want to be able to move up a corporate ladder quickly. If you can help your employer make better business and investment decisions, they take notice.

most of the jobs I looked at said BS in IT or CS.. but I might have to search more..

Well most Unis dont even offer a Software Engineering degree. CS, SE or IS will all allow you to become a software engineer though. There's a lot of money that could be made as an SE.

Currently a Finance major, but thinking about concentration in that and MIS.

Is MIS as hard as they say? I assume me being good with computers has nothing to do with MIS/C++/etc.

I dont think finance + MIS is a great combo. If you want to combine MIS with something else, go with accounting or CS.

All you accounting majors must be in that soley for the money, aint no way in hell you can tell me that shits fun.

More like job security. The real money is in public accounting. Accountants/auditors are underpaid for the knowledge they must have imo.

Mechanical engineering here, almost minored in physics.

There are hella accounting majors on here, accounting sounds boring AF...

My advice to OP: study something that makes you marketable after college, there will always be a need for engineering/technology and healthcare. Learn something useful, then study what you really enjoy as a minor or 2nd major. Don't be that guy with a bachelors in English and no job prospects.

Yeah it is boring, but it depends what you do with it. The most fun thing is probably forensic accounting.

As an engineering major, wouldn't a minor in physics be really easy to get? I would think that an engineering degree would include most, if not all of the physics courses you'd have to take to earn a minor in it.
