If anything, it's a form of regression.

Amazing article right here. I'm mad he didn't mention Edward Norton in his list of movie stars though (Dude kills every role). Will Smith is a smart dude, he knows the masses don't care about all the introspective deep character driven roles, but rather bad ass aliens, robots, and explosions. If it aint broke, don't fix it
