Alright guys im looking to get a new dog but i dont have a fence so ideally it needs to be a good "inside dog" preferably something pretty friendly since my mom has a little chihuahua mix. So far I have been looking for something along the lines of a Lab or a Golden Retriever or maybe a Border Collie or a Shiba Inu. Please give good dog advice and post pics of cute puppies so i can decide

a lot of the dogs listed are awesome (ie siberian huskies) but they need A LOT of attention and exercise which you can't offer if they're inside dogs.

Huskies and boxers would need to much exercise considering you don't have a fence. Get a small or medium size dog.

pugs, bulldog, shiba inu

GOOD BOY cool
visiting an animal shelter with an open mind should really be the first place to go when looking for a pet. i honestly hate when people come in looking for a particular breed and refuse to meet any other, obviously compatibility is necessary but its not defining!

please consider adopting from your local pound or shelter! i know buying an adorable puppy from a breeder seems like the best choice but they grow up too. most pound dogs were given as thoughtless gifts and once they outgrew the 'cute' stage or the owners came to realise how much of a responsibility they are they were just abandoned. please stay away from pet stores too as the majority of them get their dogs from puppy mills (http://video.humanesociety.org/video/856231271001) while over 4 million homeless pound dogs are put down a year (in US alone), 80,000 a week sad

& please always spay and neuter your pets (graphic image)

^^^^^^^^^I just did 24 hours of community service at an animal shelter. So many nice animals waiting to be loved. Definitely going to find my puppy from there when it comes time. I LOVE ANIMALS!

I second the Siberian Husky idea. Friendly with other dogs and generally with anyone. Just don't leave it alone for long periods of time, its the kind of dog that needs attention.

^^^^serious, I left mine alone for 10 minutes (mind you she's an inside dog) and she pretty much made a mess. Still, great looking dog. &)
