So a while back I was out with some friends of mine and we were just chilling and talking. We were smoking blacks and cigs while doing so and one of my friends stole my lighter. He would never admit to it and my other friend saw it and wouldn't admit to it either. It was just a regular blue bic lighter so it wasn't a big deal, it was the principle behind it that pissed me off.
So days later we were doing the same thing and I decided to try and take one of their lighters as payback, and I did. I got my hands on another bic lighter, and it was white. He knew I took it and I told him I would give it back when someone told me who took my lighter. He never did.
Anyway all that is irrelevant, I like to buy colorful things and I just wanted to explain how I even got my hands on this lighter in the first place.
So I was with a different group of friends and I reached in pocket and grabbed a black and the white bic lighter that I stole and went to light it up. A friend of mine freaked out and was like "Yo, wtf are you doing with a whit lighter. Don't use that shit its bad luck!" I laughed it off and did it anyway because I think superstitions are ridiculous. Nothing happened.
Then the other day this "White Bic Lighter" was brought to my attention again while I was on tumblr, I saw this post:

So then I went to investigate. I googled it and it cam up to the urban dictionary which gave me this description of the myth:
"The real history to the white lighter myth and why they are unlucky is based on four famous and revolutionary musicians of the second half of the 20th century. Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrex, Janis Joplin, and Kurt Cobain were all left-handed, all died at the age of 27, and all their autopsies reported that a white bic lighter was found in their pockets. This is why it is said that white lighters are unlucky. So if you are 27 and left-handed, don
