Mycoderma aceti. Also known as mother of vinegar. its a substance composed of a form of cellulose and acetic acid bacteria that develops on fermenting alcoholic liquids, which turns alcohol into acetic acid with the help of oxygen from the air. It is added to wine, cider, or other alcoholic liquids to produce vinegar.

can also happen in apple juice. Perfectly natural, and some say its good for you.

wow what a coincidence, i found some shit like that in a carton of apple juice like 2 weeks ago...i just assumed it was some bits of gooey apple....
