you goto private school ♥♥♥♥♥?

my brother got 4.0 and 2390 SAT and he only made it to berkeley(we went to a pretty shitty ass public high school)

It's easier to get into a Ivy league being top of your class at a bad high school.
Colleges take into account of what you were provided from your school, and the opportunities you have. If you went to a super super academically gifted high school, you'd have even a harder time in getting into a Ivy league.

3.7 gpa
2000 sat
32 act
at ucla now.

Nah, I went to a pretty shitty public school too.

This makes no sense. You're telling me that the Ivy Leagues are going to accept someone with a 4.0 at the shitty high school over someone with a 4.0 at a private prep school? If that were true, every parent in the US would want to send their children to the worst public school in their district.
Every high school has a ranking associated with it that's based on standardized test scores and such. The higher your school's ranking, the more impressive it is to admissions officers when you tell them that you graduated at the top of your class. If you get a 4.0 at a shitty public school, most colleges could care less.
Kids who go to bad public schools don't get into Ivy League schools because of their good grades. They get in because on top of doing well in school, they're making the most of their time outside of class and taking advantage of what limited opportunities they're given. Kids who go to good high schools, public or private, have a much better chance of getting into a good Ivy League school, since they're given opportunities that kids in worse schools aren't.
