Check out the fundraiser corter leather is putting on 100% towards Japan for a great product $20

corterleather.bigcartel.com/product/for-japan

How do these fit? I measured 6.5 tightly and 7.5 is too loose.. I'm thinking i should go for medium (7.5) but i rather get some advice from someone who has one of the braclets. I already donated but wanted this also and since it's going to a good cause it's another reason to buy it.

*Great to see many people trying to help.

I'm still very concerned about nuclear reactors. they're the ones that use plutonium, not uranium and the plutonium is much more toxic.

Those are designed by American companies and majority of nuclear reactors in American soil has the same design.

California has two nuclear reactors along the coast too.... sad

just had a lvl6 quake hit shizuoka which is in-between Tokyo and Nagoya (where I live)

was about a lvl3 here in Nagoya but they are getting closer

the quake was inland and only lasted less than a minute but its still terrifying, especially after the recent events.

These are much better imo because there's no branding and the message is clear. But both are for a good cause and there's no bad choice.

sucks that most people don;t even realize how serious all of this actually is. I hope to god that they can somehow contain/shutdown these reactors or we have a world crisis on our hands.

Donate if you can...in any way.

its crazy that that many people died in the most prepared developed country

they were prepared for earthquakes, not the tsunami. after the earthquakes, there were no reported deaths or injuries because the newer buildings were built to withstand earthquakes and instead of knocking down, they swayed.... they've learned after several years of earthquakes that this would help them...

but who the hell can prepare for tsunami's of such great heights? the country itself would be enclosed in 100ft walls and that even might get torn down by the waves.

if a tsunami didn't occur, they would've been fine but there was no way of preventing that. no one can be prepared for that.

--

i'm rather frustrated with the whole red cross thing. i managed to donate even just a little and i saw that many people donated hundreds of dollars to them and they aren't even helping them?? >:[ i don't know what the update on this is but I really hope japan is taking donations from the american red cross now..

Thats generous of you, but the ~500 dollars you'll get isn't going to do shit for them.

You're right it $500 won't do much but if everyone thinks like that then they would be left with nothing. Doesn't matter if you donate $20 or $1,000,000. It will all add up in the end to help. Imagine if a million people donate $20 each. That's 20 million right there and that's quite a bit of money. I know well there are more than a million people donating.

No, it won't. But it will help, even if it is just a little bit. Is this your reason for not donating something like $5 or $10? Because it's not going to do shit for them? Terrible logic.

My friend started a fund raiser out here and sold stickers for $5 each. They've sold over a thousand stickers now; in less than a week. You think your $5 wouldn't do anything? They've raised 3-4k already after labor/materials for Japan.

There has been earthquakes along the entire ring of fire except the US. Why shouldn't we worry? The tectonic plate is floating around and bouncing into other plates so it's a matter of time before the edge near CA hits something.
