Laying in bed, crazy aftershocks still. Contaminated tap water I'm told. Bread and water sold out everywhere. 70% chance of another big one in the next 72 hours. And the whole nuclear thing is intense, that's all I can say.
Why would someone say they hope I die? I don't understand. That's an awful thing to say, you should be ashamed of yourself. Thousands of people are dead, grow up.

thanks man

there were 2 quakes much closer to Nagoya last night. there is also a chance that if we do have another big quake in the next 72hrs that it will hit here. we already have a disaster pack ready and a load of water but at the moment its business as usual where i am.

The person closest to the disaster that people might know on HB is stylistics as he lives in Sendai but i have heard that he is ok and was not hit by the tsunami but has had no power etc

Some 2,000 bodies were found today on two shores in Miyagi Prefecture, 1,000 on the Ojika Peninsula and 1,000 at Minamisanriku - Japanese news agency Kyodo.

there is also a town of 17,000 residents that is missing at least 10,000 people

Damn, I can''t put myself in a situation like that. It's frightening. When nature shows force, people become so weak...

my famz in okinawa as well..yonabaru to be exact, prayers go out to the kazoku

you're fams in yonabaru? thats where i am. kind of wild that the tsunami did more damage in the US than it did down here. as for the shit going on here, yes it is crazy. people are dying all over the place. as for the plant, im not sure if foreign media is overstating how bad the situation is or if the japanese government is downplaying it so as not to panic everyone. but from what i've heard theyve been pumping sea water and boron in to cool the fuel rods and despite the explosions a meltdown isn't imminent.

hopefully they get that nuclear situation under control, we don't need another Chernobyl.

interesting..
a rift 15 miles below the sea floor that stretched 186 miles long and 93 miles wide. The areas closest to the epicenter of the quake jumped a full 13 feet closer to the United States
