so they should just forget about the dictator "president" thats been in power against their will for 30 years?? they should just suck it up and leave? and just so you know, they have brought tanks out, and the egyptians are protest by putting their heads in front of the tracks so they wont drive them...

Well what do you think the Cubans, Chinese, and North Koreans have been doing the past few decades?

Good news. The only thing left for that scumbag is a lifetime prison sentence..He's a billionaire. New government should repossess what rightly belongs to the Egyptian people.

I don't think it should be seen as a good or pleasent thing that has occured, although the media claim that. In Egypt lies the simple problem that with choosing a new goverment they can choose for a muslim/relegious goverment. A muslim goverment could be lacking a lot of things like freedom for woman, western values and respect for non-muslim groups in the country. So Egypt might go downhill after this, it's not a given but a it is a likely possibility if they can choose and choose for a Islamic party.

Just saying, it's not so black or white there's some middleground between it and the media shouldn't hail it as the best thing since sliced bread.

I'm not an American but I can understand why the Mubarek situation was a difficulty for the US. Don't know if he was a scumbag or not but I thought some minorities lived good there.

I wasn't talking about America's interest. I was talking about Egypt's possible future and how it can effect the Middle-East after Iraq's ''democracy'' hasn't been the greatest achievement in history. Far from it. I fear Egypt might suffer more from Mubarek's exit than it is actually going to be useful for them.

idk just my thoughts, i'm not an egypt expert.

♥♥♥♥♥ people on the news have been saying exactly what you're saying, the fuck you talmbout.

but i dont think Egyptians have been rioting just because they want a non-secular government. i think its about basic freedom more than anything.

The thing about Egypt's democratic movement is that it started from the bottom and worked its way up, whereas democracy in Iraq started at the barrel of a rifle.
