The only kind of supplements i would recommend is regular protein powder.
And even then, you should be able to get all the protein and calories through your normal diet. This is by far the healthiest and best way to do it.
Don't worry about supplements worry about being able to eat a real meal every 2-3 hours and focus on your work out.
