Beats by dre is a fashion statement/hype shit. People buy them from an upgrade from their $20 headphones and think its the bees knees, but in the end the way it is made is horrible. Generic $5 headphones can probably out last beats.

i laugh when ppl on here think beats are a quality product. beats are made my the same company that makes monster cables. monster cables are a rip off and do just as well as their cheaper counterpart. if you want quality headphones, custom made IEM's are the best but no one on here is gonna spend $1k on those. For non custom molded IEM's, Shure, Grado, and Westone are examples of some of the best IEM's on the market. For over the ear, Grado, AKG, Seinheiser are examples of the best on the market.
