i have been doing weight lifting aswell not too much
but it was hard to see if i was actually losing weight because when i started lifting weight i started gain weight because i was gaining muscle mass.
when i mean eating less, i was eating half of what i normally eat
instead of eating a full sandwich i would eat only half.

Lifting + cardio + diet = lose fat and look tighter because you also have more muscle. The more muscle you have the more calories you burn.
Diet + cardio = lose weight but look saggy because you have no muscle.
go fucking lift
