absolutely delicious. in no way does it have an overbearing, sweet taste. just a subtle amount to know its banana bread beer.

This thread doesnt get enough love...
Hamilton's Tavern in SD had about 25....TWENTY-FUCKIN-FIVE taps of nothing but Stone epicness.
They still have about 14 or 15 taps with various Stone brews. I'll probably swing by and try those IPAs with the wife.

Recommendations? I haven't had many European beers, but those I have tried didn't impress me.

You can start with like, Sierra Nevada?! Not real expensive, taste better than most beers you'll find at your regular grocery store.. its a good start when expanding horizons.

Fullers London Pride, if you prefer Budweiser over this then you are mad ;)

Also for european beers in general stella artois, and san miguel.

So many good European beers out there... Really depends what style of beer you like. I think you'd get more recommendations if you list a few styles you prefer.

Stone Brewing is opening a new location in the Point Loma, San Diego area. From what I read, its going to be a full kitchen & dining place like the Escondido location, but also have things going on outdoor like Boce Ball & movie showings (They do that now).
They'll also be brewing location-only brews that you wont be able to get anywhere else but there from time to time.
Looks to be opening in 2012.. AND they have another location in the works in Europe?!!
Stone doing BIIIGGG THANNGGSS!!

a bottle of belhaven scottish stout
and a 4pack dogfish head palo santo marron.

Never had the scottish stout, but I have had the dogfish palo santo which I thought was good, but not awesome or anything.

Only way to find beers you really like is to try different styles and breweries. Try a Belgian triple or quad next time. High ABV%, drinkable by most, and my favorite beers hands down.
