wow. Some of u really don't understand what straight edge is. People who are straight edge reject excesses and things that they see as self destructive (drugs/alcohol/promiscuous sex) and an impedement to the 'fulfillment' of the self.

Just cuz u can't get pussy, weed, or booze doesn't mean you're straight edge. It's a lot more than that.

And sam2thewild, not everyone believes in using drugs and having lots of sex. Learn to see things from other peoples perspective.

I broke edge three years ago. Had a six year run. Don't do it unless it's something you're really sure about. Although I'm not edge anymore I still back it and back those who choose to go down that path.... Although I've seen allot of fly by night edgers in my time. This one kid I remember was a douche. He'd break edge every weekend, talk so much shit about it, then next show he'd be on stage X'd up in the name of mosh or the edge kids that forget about the part about promiscuous sex.

I don't see whats the huge fuss about straight edge, they dont like certain lifestyles. so fucking what. i don't see anyone in here getting up in arms about people who smoke weed a lot calling themselves stoners and wearing drug related apparel, yet if someone identifies with straight edge and wears some youth crew shit you automatically call them out and ridicule the sub culture, when in definition its no different than stoners (except of course for the whole drug thing). If you align yourself with a movement of course youre going to end up with like minded individuals and more often than not be proud of that. you guys just attack this group because it's something that you know very little about.
