i learned from evolution the movie that arsenic is bad. that is all.
I figured this new discovery they made was about aliens. still crazy nonetheless...who knows what else is out there?
apparently it isn't "new" life/alien, just trained to use arsenic instead. Still pretty cool how it was able to replace P with As. Source.
they call it "extremophile," sounds like theyre describing me. see we have more in common with them than i thought!
that's the crazy part though. According to existing biological theory, that shouldn't be possible.
it's not "just" a swap out of elements like its t-shirt or something. its swapping out an essential element of life for an element that's anti-life (poison).
its like if they found a guy who could live off of eating/drinking nothing but motor oil. "oh, he just swapped out water for oil. still cool though"
he should not be alive.
only its not just that... he also turned the 70% of his body that was water into oil.
if theory says that all humans are made of 70% water and this guy were to exist, then either A) this guy is not a human but something new/"alien" or B) we'd have to change the definition of what a human is.
NOTE: i used the term "alien" as different than "extraterrestrial". this bacteria isn't extraterrestrial, but definitely encourages the idea that extraterrestrial life exists.
I had taken the words out of his mouth and filled it with fart.
