Asian Americans will be quick to tell you they're Asian.
But a Black person will never admit what they really are, which is African?!
because not all of us are actually african....and sum are ashamed to be called african.
Because "they" portray Africa to be a disgusting shameful place on earth... If a random person on the street were asked to name a place of poverty and disease 90 percent or more would say "Africa" right off the bat.. It's the ignorant ones who think they are above Africa... I'm Africa.. African American w.e Africa is something to be proud of.

first, the correct term is african-american. second, most people you identify as "black" are 7, 8, 9, 10+ generations removed from Africa. The overwhelming majority have no identifying roots and/or family ties to Africa. That history was wiped out long ago.
In general, a large part of the of the asian/pac islander community arent as many generation removed from their home country.

Nah most of you are wrong. Black people don't identify themselves as African because the ancestors that they know best were all born in the US. A lot of them don't even actually know anyone in their family tree that was born in or affiliated themselves with Africa. So really, the black people who don't identify themselves as Africans, did so by default..
