There is right and wrong. For an example, a jig saw puzzle piece won't fit into the other grooves because it is the wrong piece and you need to put in the right piece. There are many variations of what can be interpreted as right or wrong.

No! This wasn't the truth, this was a popular belief believed to be true until someone proved it wasn't the truth. For example 2+2=4 is true because I can show you a mathematical proof that in the relevant number field this will always hold. As far as proofs in sciences outside of mathematics (which is the only science were things are really and fully true or false), you can get in to philosophical debates of whether we can trust our senses or is the logic behind our foundations rational but if we assume, for the most part what we know now is true. Unless we do not fully understand the situation. So yeah the truth is the truth unless it can be shown to be untrue.
