Wake up > School > fuck around for an hour after school > home > fuck around on computer for 3 hours > do homework late and stay up for not reason > barely able to wake up and repeat.

Yeah I think its pretty much the same thing everyday with the occasional party here and there.

Makes me smh.

Welcome to society. You know you're bored as hell and you know life shouldn't be the same repetitive bullshit everyday. But we all do it just to earn the dollar it takes to do it again the next day. We're all trapped in this cycle, but we gotta do something to break out of it as individuals.

Fuck this "do what it takes to survive" mindset. Life is meant to be lived...

can't live the life you want unless you got stacks, which goes back to waking up > work > at home fuckery > sleep, then repeat

Live Life // Get Mo Money

I had the same feelings. So I quit my 70K a year job, dumped my hot girlfriend of 5 years, sold everything I owned and moved to Tokyo and it's the best decision I ever made. I had everything at home. A good job, good money, a good girl, a nice car and home but I wasn't happy. You need life to slap you in the face once and awhile and only you can ask for that favour.

Leave your backyard and experience the world or you will die with these feeling I promise you. And that's the realest shit I ever wrote.

I'm guessing you speak Japanese? How did you manage to get that job?! I'm basically up for anything really minus teaching English, don't wanna be another gaijin teacher - already worked with kids here and basically refused to do it again.

I should be in Tokyo in Feb, if you're still around i'll come by for a drink haha.

My Japanese is basic. I work in Roppongi so Japanese is not essential. I am learning though as opportunities here are endless for bi-lingual, western males.

Why Japan? I am always asked this and I don't really have an answer. One reason is that I have been here twice before and I really enjoy it here. The atmosphere, the lights, the girls, the nightlife, the fast pace etc. There are many things about Japanese society that drive me fucking crazy but that would be the case anywhere foreign and the positives outweigh the negatives so I ain't sweatin it.
I also have many friends and contacts here so I am fortunate to have access to the real Tokyo, the underbelly, not the surface level tourist Tokyo, which in reality is not very interesting.
Ledger be sure to hit me up when you're here.

CBoom, that's an inspiring life experience you left for everyone. I hope reading and comprehending motivates people to take action with their life.

In terms of the OP's thoughts, when you consider something 'redundant' to the point that you're analyzing your life, there is more to it then simply making yourself happy. I think we need to realize what we actually want. A lot of people struggle with this, they analyze and focus in on the negatives. You need to wrap that around a concept that brings you joy. Believing a change in environment brings happiness is a falsehood.

We've all heard the motto - you can't love someone until you love yourself. This couldn't be more true, especially when you look at your own life.

I'd suggest identifying the 'negatives' in your life and solving them one by one before aspiring to jump ship. Example, girls don't like me I don't look good...make that a goal to hit the gym or change your appearance. Example, i hate my job they ask me to do so much work for little pay...make that a goal, I want to work where I'm happy and the pay is comparable.

Dropping everything and going somewhere doesn't work for everyone, you need to be happy with your approach to your life before you can love the things around you. That's how you know you have the ability to 'adapt' to your social situations. That is probably the most important thing I've ever learned in my life, that life changes and you need to adapt the way you are to make those situations a positive.

Good luck, Godspeed

Cboom that's pretty awesome.

I don't mind the repetitiveness of life as long as I'm free to change it up once in awhile at my own leisure. Repetitiveness is only bad if you have no control over it and are forced into it. However, even if it's forced upon you If you work, struggle, and succeed for something other than yourself the repetition of life really isn't noticed.

Paraphrased from a nice documentary I watched a few years ago.

"A man and his wife fall into a hole in the desert. Inside the deep hole they have everything they need. Food, water, etc. and they make the best of their situation. However, the sand keeps pouring into the hole on a daily basis and if its not removed using a a shovel and a bucket they'll both eventually die."

I don't mind digging sand for the rest of my life.

Not that I had a 70k/year job, hot GF etc. But I dropped out of college, sold everything I had(my iPhone) and copped some plane tickets to London.
Now I'm here working, smoking weed, chilling and fucking hungarian bitches. Life is good.
