I have a friend who's a hypnotist. Although I've never personally experienced it, shit is mind fuck.

I've read up a lot on it cause I do a bit of magic as a hobby. Hypnotism doesn't work like most people think. It doesn't put you in a trance or anything. It really is purely suggestion. If you believe in it, it works. if you don't, it doesn't. If you think of things like where they get you to cluck like a chicken...this works either because you believe that hypnotism is very real and the hypnotist is convincing so you do it or you feel pressured to perform because you're onstage. Either way, to observers, it worked.
