i highly recommend my war, does an incredible job of telling the story of the war through a soldier's perspective.

To dude: You might also want to check out this book "The Strawberry Statement" or if you're just looking for a lighthearted, entertaining and funny book, check out the book "A Year In The Merde". Shit had my dying the whole time. And if you're looking into Hunter, I've always liked The Rum Diaries for traveling. Read it on a trip down south a few years ago and loved it.
