Take the battery out in put the phone in a bowl of uncooked rice. The rice will absorb the water.

I've had BBs work after the rice trick, even after trying to turn it on multiple times before it was dry. Rice works, and if you have a BB, they have some fancy circuit that helps prevent shorting from what I am told/remember from working at RIM.
