Honestly, I people here are more concerned about jailbait.

This is what we get, Obama was elected, and he promised change, and this is the change we're getting.

I'm somewhat mixed on this issue, since, it's crazy how other counties manage to have a health care system, while the U.S. are ranked pretty low. Places in Europe, PAY YOU back to go to the doctor. I don't have health insurance myself, but, knock on wood something does happen to me, I would like to have a system available to me. You hear these stories of people getting in accidents, and they could only afford half or a quarter of the surgery or whatever needs to be done. (Imagine your fingers being chopped off in a freak accident but you could only afford to get three of your fingers sewed back on.)

What I'm curious is, for people here living in other countries outside the United States, how is your health care system? Is it really that convenient and worth it?

For me its awesome. I always fuck myself up biking and don't have to worry about shit. You may pay more for taxes, but in the long run having "free" health care is awesome.

My bad, I should have re-phrased it. I didn't mean that you get a fat check, I meant, if you took a bus/taxi, etc, to go to the doctor, they reimburse you.

I'm turning 25 this year and maybe it's getting to the point where, I can't afford not having insurance. Hey, maybe now I could get my torn meniscus that I've had for three years taken care of! I wonder how this will affect the economy. Well, I live in Texas, and we could be our own country sometimes, and we didn't get hit hard compared to the rest of the country.
