Traffic Cameras..? Ran a red light.

Alright well I ran a red light this morning and ever since then I've been paranoid
about getting a ticket or not. I just got my license a few weeks ago. I thought I could beat the light, but I obviously made a bad judgment on my part. I've definitely learned from this mistake.
I only have one question, what are the chances I'll be receiving a ticket. It was at a light with those small cameras next to the light like in this pic, that little white thing. NOT THAT SOLAR PANNEL.

Does that camera take pics of red light runners?
or is the the camera on the side on its own pole with a flash?

There werent any of those stand alone cameras with the flash around the intersection btw.

it's definitely possible you'll be receiving one in the mail. But who knows maybe you got lucky

i've ran numerous lights where there were cameras and never got shit in the mail.

If yes then 89% you might get a ticket.

If no then 50% of a chance of getting a ticket.
wait 2 weeks and you will find out.
After 2 weeks you should be free if nothing comes in the mail..

Fuck traffic cameras.

Seriously, people get paranoid about the fact they exist. Then when they see a yellow light, they start thinking about whether they're gonna make it, whether they should stop, if there's a camera up there... So they're thinking (panicking) instead of reacting to what's going on around them. That is so much MORE dangerous than going through the light as it turns red.

those cameras are to check if the intersection is blocked or not when there's a wreck..

you're not gonna get a ticket.

EDIT: but ya if you saw a flash you're gonna get a ticket.. those are typically at stop signs though..

lol, the first night i had my license i was just crossing over the white line and the light turned red. and i was maaad paranoid i was gonna get a ticket in the mail. it never came. i wouldnt worry about it.

Well...i saw a flash a week ago pushing through an intersection. I got the ticket a couple days ago. $450 for being in the red for a quoted 0.2 seconds. City's is broke

They need more of those cameras in stop signs. Most people driving don't even do a full stop. Some do a tap and some don't even bother stopping at all.

Maybe if they did a full stop they would know who has the right of way to go first. I did a full stop and was turning left. The oncoming car slowed down then went anyway so I had to stop for him in the middle of the street.
