what the fuck does that have anything to do with this? i got these wranglers over 2 years ago, before unbranded and before i was even aware of selvedge. i just wanted a beater pair of raw denim for work. they faded pretty good imo so i tailored them recently. i can totally justify spending 30$ and ending up with my favorite pair of jeans, but can you justify spending 250$+ on yours knowing you can get another pair with nearly the same quality for 200$ less?
Nov 16, 2010 @ 16:34
lol @ having them tailored after they've been faded

theyre wranglers man.. the leg openings were 8", so i had them tapered. really not a big deal. and like i said, they were a pair of jeans i wore strictly to work in.

Wearing shitty jeans for two years doesn't mean your life was wasted. There are other things you can do while wearing jeans

what makes you think i dont have any "real denim"? cause im not bragging about spending 150$ on jeans? honestly im pretty embarrassed telling people that i spent that much on one pair of pants.

jeans are jeans man. no matter how many selvedge seams you have on your jeans it doesnt make your IHs much better than these wranglers. obviously theyre constructed to withstand the wear and tear that comes with raw denim better, but really dude if i laid out 30 yards of wrangler raw denim and 30 yards of IH raw denim, would you even be able to tell the difference? youre not some denim expert, more like some young kid trying to fit in.

have you ever even posted a fit? i bet your 200$ jeans only contribute to you looking like you try way too hard to appear fashionable. why am i even arguing with this kid? the counterpoints youre trying to make just prove how immature you are. seriously... i wasted my life wearing jeans to work? how the fuck is that even possible?

wouldnt it make more sense saying i wasted 15$ tailoring them so i could wear them more casually?
Nov 16, 2010 @ 18:54
lol @ jean argument
Nov 16, 2010 @ 19:00
.

theres no way you're trying to argue that walmart wrangler jeans are as good as a pair of ih's.......

Alright... Wearing the jeans you want is definitely okay. It's encouraged, even. Wear what you like of course, don't stop liking the jeans because others don't. But it isn't wise nor realistic to even compare the quality of $30 Wranglers to that of jeans like IHs. If you've felt and seen the raw (and more expensive) denim then you'd know the difference and there'd be no argument.
