Yeah, I live here in Tokyo.

My favourite bar in all of Tokyo - view alone is worth the high prices of a meal and drinks there.


The view was worth the visit but from a bartenders perspective I will never return. For the price and the hype ($30 a cocktail) it was a disappointment. First they didn't even know what an Aviation was, which is a CLASSIC cocktail and they served my Negroni (another classic) shaken, up (no ice) and in a cocktail glass. Completely inexcusable for a bar of its reputation and location.
When you come in Feb I`ll take you to some spots.

For relaxing times, make it Suntory time -haha had to have a Suntory on the rocks, not a cocktail fan but yeh mate, I wouldn't be happy either for those prices.

It's not about balling it's about integrity and respect for your craft. I take bartending very seriously and even if I was a millionaire I would have the same sentiments regarding the product they placed on my table. $25 drinks are not all that uncommon in Tokyo and I have paid that many times with a smile on my face because I know I was drinking a first class drink crafted by a world class professional.

But it's whatever.
