brandon jennings ftw
It be cheaper and you'll have a great feel of accomplishment if you just invested in a good brush, du-rag, wave cap, moisterizer and some good know how.
post picsJust tried it out and it came out almost exactly like the picture I posted. Works if you have hair like his (or pretty much just black texture). Make sure you have at least 2.5 inches of hair to work with.
1) Use S-Curl kit for about 7 minutes. Don't want tight curls, just enough so that it sort of springs up.
2) Brush your hair down and then use a wave cap over it. Wait for your hair to dry (should take 45min to an hour. You can also do this overnight)
3) After your hair is dry take a wide toothed comb and comb backwards from the front of your hairline to the crown of your head. The mohawk part should only be as wide as the VERTICAL length of your forehead (usually about 2 inches). Do the same for the back of your head.
If you mess up at any point in this (don't know why you would) just brush your hair down and put the wave cap on again. This is all what my barber told me to do and it came out pretty damn good.
