How do I save money?

Im pissed right now cause I spent the money I was saving for some kicks on CDs and Chipotle,I work but I'm always broke because I spend my money on food and shit.I can save change but not dollar bills for some reason hmm?How do you guys save money or keep yourself from spending money?

Especially, don't go out to eat. Shit's too expensive these days.
Unless you cop the Half Chicken and French Fries special at nearly any chinese food place, for $5 it'll hold you down for the day.

I have the same problem, as soon as I have money I spend it. Now I change currencies, I exchange it for dollars ( since I usually have euros ) & keep it @ home. So I don't spend it. & you'll see your money saves up fast, I have like couple 1000 dollars now, & usually I always spend 20 here, 30 there ( like you, on food, dvds, cds, clothing, ... )

Budget how much money you are going to spend on certain things each month and try your best to stick to the list. Or put away a certain amount of money in envelope after you get your paycheck and do your best to not touch that money in the envelope.

i love that episode. i dont know why people say south park is shit because they really say true shit. and modernmischief i think your problem is that you're saving for the wrong stuff. when you save for a pair of shoes, it doesn't seem too important so you spend what you have. try and save for something that you actually need and it'll help you save money.

I have a big jug that I drop change into everyday. Not one day goes by where I dont drop atleast $2-3 in there. Just the other night I got home from a club and dropped $15 in change. That's going to pay for my trip to Dominican in February.

honestly learn to save by not spending.
Sure you can save by splitting your paychecks, save change.
In the end you havnt learned much, but to work around your habits.

Take your paychecks deposit it and dont spend it.

And take everybody else advice.

this. get one of those metal canned ones so you know you cant spend it till its full. I remember i managed to save 300 bucks from just loose change. and thats not including dimes and nickles and shit.

This is how I earn $100-200 a month (or save that amount).

Whenever you buy shit, keep the change, and throw it into a jar. At the end of the month, count how much money you have, exchange into bills, deposit from 30%-70% (however much you want to save) to the bank, and spend the rest on whatever.

if you work...deposit your check...take out like...60 or 80 for the week...depending on what you feel might be necessary...in your case, aim low. i got paid on friday, took out like...60, i got 40 in my wallet, my nexy check comes this friday. so im doin good. and stop impluse buyin. that shit kills you.

also, if you got like...$562 in your bank (random number) take out 60 and dont go under 500 til you get paid. thats what i do. i try not to go below a certain amount.

Shit I buy a pack of smokes there goes $10.. fill up gas for the ride theres another $50. I used to buy rubbers at 7/11 you get 3 for $4.. but naw man had to start buying that shit in bulk 20 for $8.
