no i think its just people are intrigued about how you react to hearing for the first time? i remember seeing something on True Life of a kid hearing for the first time and just the intensity of sound alone was too much for him and he had to take it off and they had to ease him into hearing. this girl seems to not only be able to handle it immediately but also understand words by sound and not by lip reading which surprised me but i dont really know much about the subject. i just find it interesting.
