the site has a torrent link showing unedited footage being sent in from Tehran. It is really intense and some of it is definately NSFW. However it opens your eyes to what is really going on there right now and can't be reported on.

BBC and CNN are both doing great coverages of Iran at the moment. CNN.com is a good place to look.

Don't protesters realize the other guy (who supposedly won the election) is just as corrupt?

it is just an illusion of freedom, but they're too close to see

you do not understand.

These are the major points that the protestors are fighting for now.

1. Dismissal of Khamenei for not being a fair leader
2. Dismissal of Ahmadinejad for his illegal acts
3. Temporary appointment of Ayatollah Montazeri as the Supreme Leader
4. Recognition of Mousavi as the President
5. Forming the Cabinet by Mousavi to prepare for revising the Constitution
6. unconditional and immediate release of all political prisoners
7. Dissolution of all organs of repression, public or secret.

This is not just changing one president to another. This is changing the SUPREME LEADER! who is pro democracy and much more fond of the West than Khamenei.

This is major change if the protests and unrest continues to increase.

head over to liveleak.com for some other intense videos of this ongoing situation. I, personally, wouldn't trust the "mainstream" media.

this is a fucked up situation and I feel for those who will die. Hopefully, their death isn't in vain, however, seeing how the international community will just sit idle while everything in Tehran transpires I don't have much faith that anything will change.

iran needs to revolt already..

the recount aint gonna do shit. iran has to save face and say that ahmadinejad won no matter what. if they say mousavi was the actual winner, there would be a HUGE scandal. once they announce that, the people are gonna be pissed. until the people of iran actually take action, they will always be owned by their government.

Its good to see that some Countries wouldn't stand for a FIXED election.....Like *ugh* America *ugh*. I commend these people for fighting for what they believe in and that womens death was not in vein no matter the outcome cause she died fighting for what she KNEW was right.

lol, the recount is just a bull shit concession. There is an 11 million person vote difference b/w Ahmadi and Mousavi, not like the authorities accidentally miscounted 11 million+ votes. Anyway, this is an incredible situation and I've pretty much been slacking off at work and reading up on this all week. Also, for all the photogs out there, there's a ton of great photography coming out of the unrest.

tehranlive.org , www.boston.com/bigpicture/2009/06/irans_disputed_election.html and cryptome.org/iran-protest/iran-protest.htm are both pretty good websites for photos.

i have a question. this might be ignorant to what's going on and honestly I haven't been keeping up with the situation. But what's the basis for everybody thinking that it's a "fixed" election?
