Solve for the indicated variable.

M = a*b/a+b

how do I solve for a??

M = a*b/a+b

how do I solve for a??

April 5, 2009 @ 06:37 PM

a=mb/b-m

April 5, 2009 @ 06:38 PM

how did you get that?

April 5, 2009 @ 06:39 PM

if you want working then first we multiply both sides by (a+b) to get ma+mb=ab

then subtract ma from both sides to get mb=ab-ma then factorise a to get mb=a(b-m) then divide both sides by b-m to get mb/b-m = a

then subtract ma from both sides to get mb=ab-ma then factorise a to get mb=a(b-m) then divide both sides by b-m to get mb/b-m = a

April 5, 2009 @ 06:45 PM

ok that kinda made sense

how about these two?

15/x + 10 = 35/4x

3T + 7PM/T = 13 - P

how about these two?

15/x + 10 = 35/4x

3T + 7PM/T = 13 - P

April 5, 2009 @ 06:52 PM

M= 2b, what the fuck abdizzy?

April 5, 2009 @ 06:55 PM

ok that kinda made sense

how about these two?

15/x + 10 = 35/4x

3T + 7PM/T = 13 - P

lol I can't be bothered with working first one x= -5/8

and what do you want solved in the second

April 5, 2009 @ 06:56 PM

M= 2b, what the fuck abdizzy?

are you smoking crack

April 5, 2009 @ 07:02 PM

lol I can't be bothered with working first one x= -5/8

and what do you want solved in the second

oops my bad solve for T

April 5, 2009 @ 07:16 PM

oops my bad solve for T

I can't do it.

April 5, 2009 @ 07:17 PM

ok

well can you walk me through how you did the first one then?

please

well can you walk me through how you did the first one then?

please

April 5, 2009 @ 07:21 PM

ok

well can you walk me through how you did the first one then?

please

eh times both sides by 4x gives you 60+40x=35

40x=-25

x=-25/40

simplifys to what i said

and are you sure it asks for t because that shits impossible

April 5, 2009 @ 07:23 PM

is it (3t+7pm)/t or 3t + (7pm)/t

April 5, 2009 @ 07:26 PM

fuck this imma go down to a lower math class i dont get this shit

April 5, 2009 @ 07:28 PM

Solve the following formula for the variable T. Verify your solution.

3T + 7PM / T = 13 - P

Thats how its written

3T + 7PM / T = 13 - P

Thats how its written

April 5, 2009 @ 07:28 PM

if its the second the answer is as follows 3t+7pm/t=13-p

times through by t gives us 3t+7pm=13t-pt

subtract 3t from both sides

7pm=13t-pt-3t

which goes to

10t-pt=7pm

which factorises to t(10-p)=7pm

which is t=7pm/(10-p)

hope thats what you wanted

times through by t gives us 3t+7pm=13t-pt

subtract 3t from both sides

7pm=13t-pt-3t

which goes to

10t-pt=7pm

which factorises to t(10-p)=7pm

which is t=7pm/(10-p)

hope thats what you wanted

April 5, 2009 @ 07:29 PM

April 5, 2009 @ 07:32 PM

3T + 7PM / T = 13 - P

Thats how its written

yeh I read wrong sorry the answer I gave is what you wanted

April 5, 2009 @ 07:33 PM

eh times both sides by 4x gives you 60+40x=35

that answer doesnt make both sides equal

April 5, 2009 @ 07:36 PM

that answer doesnt make both sides equal

it does

April 5, 2009 @ 07:38 PM

[15/(-5/8 )]+10 = -14

35/4(-5/8 )=-14

35/4(-5/8 )=-14

April 5, 2009 @ 07:38 PM

it does

how?

15/-.625 = -24+10 = -14

35/4(-.625) = -5.46

unless im doing something wrong?

April 5, 2009 @ 07:41 PM

how?

15/-.625 = -24+10 = -14

35/4(-.625) = -5.46

unless im doing something wrong?

:/ oh my days can't believe i want to teach maths lol do the 4*-0.625 first

then divide 35 by -2.5

April 5, 2009 @ 07:43 PM

:/ oh my days can't believe i want to teach maths lol do the 4*-0.625 first

then divide 35 by -2.5

yay it works

one more

4w-19/2 + w+1/10 = -1

how do i start

April 5, 2009 @ 07:45 PM

yay it works

one more

4w-19/2 + w+1/10 = -1

how do i start

just get what you want on one side and all the numbers on the other

April 5, 2009 @ 07:48 PM

ok i wanna know what w is

so would i times both sides by 4? to get them by themselves?

so would i times both sides by 4? to get them by themselves?

April 5, 2009 @ 07:55 PM

isolate the variable "w". by moving -19/2 and 1/10 to the other side of the equation. combine like terms. solve for w.

April 5, 2009 @ 08:17 PM

fuck it
