and the (10) thing doesn't mean 10 characters, people put "10char" for that.

here's a scenario

salaryman: Book of Sufu, Verse 473: Thou shall not hate on thy peers. This is not the path to redemption.(3)

whitney: I was going to place 0 but then I realized not all shit talkers dress shitty.

so from this i've gathered that: the numbers possibly range from 0-10, 10 being the best?

on certain message boards, to keep posters from putting a short, meaningless reply, they make it mandatory that you have at least 10 characters (letters) of a word, or sentence to make a post.

so here's an example:

me: wack 10char

because "wack" was only 4 letters, the forum wouldn't allow me to post it, so i had to put "10char" to make the message be over 10 letters so that i could post it.

10char = the original post was too short for the 10 character post size minimum
