I'm gonna assume that you're talking in HKD. That's an insane price, but I am not surprised considering all the materials involved.

Ye sorry HKD.

I'd possibly understand if the price were HKD 1,500 - MAX, given its a limited release blah blah, but 2,800 at retail is a joke.

Also, consider the possibility of someone scuffing / standing on your shoe in public, ( which is more than likely in HK) you'd have bits of black exposed all over, what if you want to keep it all red? It just doesnt add up to me.

I dont want to sound high and mighty but ummm this is a sneakerhead thing...I mean u go out and buy the kicks- u dont sit at home thinking about how someone might step on em. I mean either u in this game or you're not...its that simple.

I love that they did this to a AF1 and besides that--its the best pair of kicks Ive seen in a very long time.

If 'in the game' means you fall for all the shit brands feed you then no, im well away from it.
& ye you should consider people stepping on them, given the hefty price tag & the fact that they WILL alter whether you like it or not.

I just dont like it when the product gets a shitload of exposure (in HK), then gets priced out of the average consumers reach.

Im def no "hypebeast"...lol. I get whay you're saying about prices and brands but its just that for me-it more a matter of how much u like the shoe. I mean ofcourse i have to consider price and what not but Ill go crazy if I think about how each pair of kicks i get might be stepped on.

All I can say is that hopefully the red material they did on the shoe is strong enough to withstand a walk in the city....I just know that if I were to get my hands on these-they would spend more time in the box then on my feet.

It would kill me to be in HK and be able to see these kicks in person and not be able to ge em... so I def feel your anger.

These kicks are definitely a status thing in HK. Not everyone in HK can go around and spend $2800 HKD on a pair of shoes, let alone $1400 HKD.

Also, the red material is silk. If you're gonna walk around in HK, just pick your districts wisely. Although Mong Kok is the sneaker district, I would not rock these there. It's too damn busy, and the streets can be nasty.

What did you want someone to translate the price to? $2800 HKD is approx. $450 Canadian 'cause those are the only dollars that matter to me razz
