well, shit, no one drops his rent money for the spike lee joints or some shit, but, when you aight with the money, and you can spend it on something, most of the time sneakers [not just jordans] are my way to go.

if you stick with the classics, they're gonna be in a style for a while, and worth your money.

imo, 250 for ds grapes is worth it. retail was 145. grapes were like the tiffanys of jordans, sparked up the era of hype. used, under 200. id say 250 is reasonable in this time and age.
to me, i watched so many jordan games, so that was why it is sentimental to me.

Supple and demand. Plain and simple.

They didn't cost that much when they were sold in stores. It's just there were more people that wanted them, than there were pairs of shoes so the price goes up.

Well truthfully i am a Jordan head to the fullest, but i don't think no Jordan should be priced over 100,simply because there is so many releases coming out that people really can't dish out the money to buy every pair. Also the quality is no where near as good as it was 8-10 years ago.Shoes are being made faster and cheaper then before so why the price increase? The reason Jordans now are so expensive is because Jordan brand is releasing a lot of quick strikes and dmp packs. All of which are limited and hyped up.

As everyone else said, just what the shoes mean. Watching MJ's games and how people are willing to camp out days for a pair of Jordans are enough to drop a good amount of money. $250 for a pair of DS Grape Vs....omg that sounds amazing &)

most people buying the retros are older people who wanna feel nostalgia...i remember i loved the 11's and 6's and to see them in stores now that im in my 20's it makes me feel like a kid again wearing them...its more so tied to memories of watching mj when u were young and the feelin u got wearing the shoes...well in my opinion of course

Idk, it's a hobby to goout and find kicks you love. Like I would rather spend the $100 than buying 2 video games.

they're not worth it. the quality has dropped over the years, design isn't that nice now, and the shit is so hyped regardless of recession and the points above.

But Jordans are still nice. smile

I think because just from a practical standpoint they're the best sneakers to have. Comfort, practicality, style is all like top tier, plus retro jordans don't have any crazy OD color schemes so you can generally wear them with a lot of shit. Personally idk about the whole "to feel part of something" mentality, I guess it's different for some people but I mean, I don't see how it being made by Michael Jordan's greedy ass is supposed to make it worth more money but eh it's whatever

All I do is smoke weed, blow lines, and listen to MF DOOM. And rap. http://www.facebook.com/SpacemanNYC
